Obituary for Donald Lewis Graff
Donald L. Graff, 90 of Grand Island, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Howard County Medical Center with family by his side.Memorial Services will be 11:00 am, Thursday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with Full Military Honors by the Grand Island Veterans Honor Guard following the service. Pastor Paul Canady of the True North Church will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial of ashes will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorials... are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project. Online condolences may be directed to www.livson.com.Don was born December 4, 1927 to Daniel and Grace (Gooch) Graff at Auburn, NE. He grew up on the family farm and attended Unadilla Public Schools and later the family moved to Ravenna. He joined the United States Army on May 7, 1946 serving as a medic during World War II and was Honorably Discharged on June 1, 1947.On August 24, 1949, Don was united in marriage to Bonnie Pugh in Kearney, NE. After which, the couple traveled extensively due to his work. In 1960, they settled in Grand Island. He was a member of the Eagles Club and the Grand Island Veterans Club. He enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, Nebraska football and Volleyball, college basketball and spending time with family, especially the grandkids.Don is survived by his children, Donald Q. (Kerry) Graff of Osceola, NE, Carole A. (Jim) O'Brien of Loup City, NE, Larry G. (Wendy) Graff of Farwell, NE; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, Bonnie; two sisters, Vivian Warner and Irene Telford; a brother, George Graff; grandson, James R.
