ALDA - Eugene G. Weinrich, 97, of Alda died on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home, with Stanley Morrison and Jon MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. '
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.

Mr. Weinrich was born on Dec. 18, 1920, to George and Bernice (Denman) Weinrich on a farm west of Alda.
He married Clarice Hawkins on April 10, 1953, in Grand Island.
Eugene grew up in the Alda area on the family farm and attended Country School at District 6 and graduated from Alda High School.

The couple made their home south of Alda, where he farmed his whole life. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved his dog, Suzie.
Survivors of the immediate family include his children, Alan and Judy Weinrich of Grand Island, John and Mary Weinrich of Grand Island, William Weinrich of Grand Island, Wendy and Rodney Vlieger of Bradshaw and Michael Weinrich of Aurora; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Elnora Weinrich of Alda.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice; parents; daughters, Janet and Jean Orlean; and brother, Dale Weinrich.
The family would like to especially thank Karen Grotzky and Rachel Wade for caring for Eugene during the last four years.
