KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Gregory Lynn Stoner, 59, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away on Aug. 19, 2016, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Gollaher Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island.
He was the son of Clarence and Joyce Stoner. He attended local schools and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1975. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor of science in business administration.
He worked for Kmart from 1973 to 2001 in various positions, working his way up from stockman to eventually manager, then traveled extensively around the United States as a Kmart projects coordinator. He was also a Master Mason in good standing at Ashlar Lodge 33, A.F. & A.M. In his earlier years, he was in Cub Scouts and DeMolay and was an avid sportsman. In later years, he was keen with computers and computer games. He played on several national game teams.
At the time of his passing, he was employed at Truman Medical Center in finance, a job he truly enjoyed.
He is survived by his father, Clarence; and sister, Shari Guzinski and her husband, Leonard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce E. Stoner.

Private family burial will be held at a later time at WestLawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
