Juan A. Zepeda JR., 48, of Grand Island formerly of Amarillo, TX, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at All Faiths Funeral Home, with rosary at 5 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Celebrant will be Fr. Scott Harter. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.Juan was born on April 26, 1969, son of Juan and Marisela (Quintana) Zepeda SR.Juan is survived by his children, Bryan Zepeda and Juan Zepeda III; brother, Jerry Zepeda; sisters, Nora Zepeda, Janie Zepeda, Marisol (Juan) Vargas, and Nellie (Guy) Stienike; step-father, Maro Velasquez; furry four-legged friend, Sidney; 19 nieces and nephews and three great- nieces and nephews.Juan was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Jesus and Timotee Quintana. Juan was raised in Grand Island where he graduated from Grand Island Senior High School. Shortly after graduation, Juan moved to Amarillo and found his true home. He was raised in Nebraska but was a Texan at heart. While living in Amarillo, he was employed by Allied Trucking and Moving. Juan was a dedicated to his Catholic faith and attended St. Mary's Cathedral. He enjoyed cruising the countryside, fishing, having a cold one with his friends and family, and country music to dance to. Throughout Juan's illnesses, he always stayed strong and fought. His family meant the world to him and he would put them first.Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
