Lola M. Potrzeba, 61, of Grand Island passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at home

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Leo's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Don Buhrman officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a Christian wake service at 6:30, at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.

Lola was born on Aug. 11, 1955, in Grand Island to Edward J. and Lola A. (Goodwin) Potrzeba. She grew up in Central City and graduated from Central City High School in 1973. She started working for Lakeview Golden Living Center in June of 1981. She just recently achieved 35 years of service with the home. She loved working there and loved the residents she served.
She enjoyed reading, shooting pool, bowling, watching movies and Husker games and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Jessica (Miller) Potrzeba of Waukee, Iowa, and two sisters, Pamela Potrzeba and Diane Price, both of Grand Island.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, and her aunt, Bonnie Goodwin.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents; son, Travis Meiringer; and half brother, Arthur "Archie" Goodwin.
