WOOD RIVER - Neil C. Lambert, 84, of Wood River, formerly of Grand Island, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society Wood River.
His body was cremated and a graveside committal service will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island on Wednesday, Jan 17, at 2 p.m. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.

Mr. Lambert was born on Dec. 29, 1933, in Madrid to Robert and Mabel Lambert. He received his education in the Grand Island school system. He served in the United States Air Force for several years.
He married Norma Bremer on Nov. 10, 1962. They lived their entire married life in Grand Island. Neil was employed by Northwestern Public Service and retired from there.

Neil was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing, receiving several Master Angler Awards. He and his wife enjoyed their cabin at Sherman Reservoir.
Survivors include his brother and wife, Larry and Sondra Fletcher of Canton, Ga.; two nieces, and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma, and a brother, Gerald Lambert
