AXTELL - Robert W. "Bob" Duff, 42, of Axtell died Monday, June 4, 2018, at Mosaic Bethphage Village in Axtell.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designations. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Bob was born in Grand Island on July 26, 1975, the son of Bob and Sherry (Vilas) Duff. He was enrolled in the special education program in Grand Island and Mosaic until moving to Mosaic Bethphage Village in Axtell in 2016.

When he was young he enjoyed going to his grandmother's in Storm Lake, Iowa, where he loved swimming in the lake, riding in her boat, and above all he thoroughly enjoyed driving her around the golf course in her golf cart. As he grew older he enjoyed Husker football, bowling, horse races and spending time with family and friends.
Bob volunteered for many years at the Grand Island YMCA, folding towels and making many friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Bill and Sherry Neid of Grand Island and Bob and Karen Duff of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brothers and families, Mike and Maureen Duff, Jack and Molly Duff, all of Omaha, James and Rachel Duff, Riley and Dewey Duff, all of Grand Island; his grandmother, Arlene Vilas of Storm Lake, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dwain Vilas, and paternal grandparents, Walter and Lucille Duff.
