Bob was born on February 17, 1945 in Loup City, the son of Leonard and Luella (Jakubowski) Krolikowski. He was raised and received his education in Grand Island. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1962, serving during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968.
On June 18, 1976 he was united in marriage to Sheila Stobbe. This union was blessed with four children; Shanon, Chrissi, Shea and Ryan. Bob worked alongside his brothers-in-law and father-in-law performing numerous construction and bricklaying jobs around Grand Island.
