Rodney died Friday, December 16, 2016, from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident northwest of Norfolk. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Rodney was born on April 28, 1988, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Rodney Dean Beckman and Donetta M. Vetter. He graduated from Heartland Community School in 2006. Following graduation, Rodney enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and was stationed in California from April 19, 2006 to August 25, 2006. Later on, he then attended Northeast Community College in the Automotive Technology program. Some of the many things Rodney enjoyed in life were spending time with his friends, riding his snowmobile, off-roading, working on vehicles, playing softball, gaming, watching the San Francisco Giants play baseball, and he loved anything that had to do with being outdoors. To those Rodney loved and cared about, they knew he was always there to lend a helping hand. His heart was as big as his smile. He is survived by his mother Donetta Vetter of South Dakota; sister Tiffany Beckman (Jake Kooi) and their children, Holden and Kaydence Kooi all of Norfolk; half-brother Armando Vetter of Columbus, half-brother Harley Beckman of Marquette, Ne, half-sister Heather Beckman of Marquette, NE; step-mother Kim Beckman of Marquette, NE; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
