Ronald "Ron" Lee Wiese, 82, of Denham Springs, LA, formerly of Grand Island, NE, passed away
peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Visitation will be Friday, May 16, from 5–7 p.m., and the funeral service will be Saturday, May 17, at 2p.m., both at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. A private family burial will be held beforehand. Memorials may be directed to the Wiese family for future designation. He was born on April 8, 1943, in Grand Island to Arnold and Wilhelmina Wiese.

Ron graduated from Grand Island High School. He earned a teaching degree from Doane University and a Master's degree in Education from Kearney State College. Ron spent his career as a social studies and history teacher and as a football and track coach. He was known for his dedication, sharp wit, and endless puns. He was a lifelong church member and lived by his values of faith, kindness, hard work, and respect for others. In retirement, he enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Lois Wiese of Denham Springs, LA; son, Ryan (Paula) Wiese of Waverly, NE; daughter, Gretchen (Corey) Hess of Lincoln, NE; stepson, Steven Waters of Baton Rouge, LA; stepdaughter, Elle (Charles) Waters of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren, Nolan, Jolee, and Ryker Wiese; Beau, Neely, Noelle, and Bree Hess; step-grandchildren, Joy, Audrey, Adrian, Ana, and Oberon (Nick) Waters; sister, Patti (Chuck) Bluschke of Grand Island, NE; nephew, Chad (Michelle) Bluschke; and niece, Tami (Steve) Chandler. As well as many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Willie Wiese.
