Rosa Alma Marie Hoback, 93, of Grand Island was called to her eternal home on Friday, March 16, 2018.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Luke Biggs officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rosa was born June 7, 1924, at Burwell to Herman John and Anna Marie (Borman) Meyer. She was united in marriage to Newell Kenneth Hoback on Sept. 30, 1943, in Palmer, after which the couple resided in the Grand Island area.
She was a member of Grace and later Peace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her children, Newlene Laib, Eulalia (Robert) Dory, Caralee (Jim) Gruntorad, Newell (Barbara) Hoback, Angelia (Kyle) Heck and Cassondra (Ross) Lyon; brother, Martin Meyer; 30 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Newell; a son, Kenneth; a daughter, Roxanne; and great-grandson Samuel Laib.
