Obituary for Sandy K. Huryta

Sandy K. Huryta, 53, of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, formerly of Ravenna died September 4, 2017 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO.There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home.Graveside services with burial of her ashes will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Fellowship will follow the burial at St. Pauls Lutheran Church.Sandy was born October 30, 1963 in Grand Island to Judy and Jerry Pollard.Survivors include her children, Brandon Reynolds of Kearney, Amber (Evan) Wilson of Hildreth, Garrett (Monica) Wells of Kearney, Cameron Wells of Ravenna and William Huryta of Ravenna; her grandchildren, Luci Reynolds, Lafe and Nora Wilson; her adopted father, Vernon Engel of Grand Island; her biological father and his wife, Jerry (Elaine) Pollard of Colorado; her sisters, Christy (Trevor) Hinkle of Kansas City, MO, Angie Engel of Grand Island and Tara (Justin) Richardson of Grand Island and her friend, Mark Hillje of Ft. Lupton, CO.She is preceded in death by her mother, Judy Engel.Sandy was raised in Grand Island graduating from Grand Island Senior High in 1981. She worked as a Med-Aid for the Grand Island Veterans Home for 13 years. Some of her enjoyments included concerts, riding motorcycles, drawing, painting, arts and crafts and spending time at lakes. She enjoyed life.
