Thomas "Wayne" Pribnow, 48, of Kearney previously of Grand Island, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8th, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Thomas was born September 21, 1975, at Albion, NE, the son of Tommy and Mary "Donna" (Mailender) Pribnow. He attended school at Wolbach, NE, graduating from Wolbach High School, class of 1994. On June 4, 2005, he married Caryl C. Mankle. They were longtime residents of Grand Island, moving to Kearney when the Veteran's Home moved there.
For nearly 20 years, Thomas was employed by Central Nebraska Veteran's Home. He loved working there in the dietary department. He was known as "Tom da Bomb" by the younger crowd whom he enjoyed immensely. He also enjoyed his parttime job at Raising Cane's, which was where he could "raise cane"!
Thomas loved being outdoors, running marathons, riding his bike and nature in general. He was also a fan of reading nonfiction and spent many hours at the library.
Those who cherish Thomas' memory include his wife, Caryl; sons, James (Mari) Mankle and Jacob (Sophie) Pribnow; parents, Tommy and Donna Pribnow; brothers, Steven (Christi) Pribnow and Ed (Sheila) Pribnow and sister, Dee (Devin) Ball.
He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Nick and Gloria Mankle and brother-in-law, Christopher Mankle (Melinda Mattson).
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
