Weert W. Lammers, 85, of Grand Island died Sunday, Jan. 21, 201, at Good Samaritan Society.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 30, at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Cathryn Love will officiate. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Tuesday.

Mr. Lammers was born on Jan. 11, 1933, at Pleasanton to Frank and Cora (Hughes) Lammers. He married Sharon Carruth on June 25, 1982. The couple lived in Grand Island. Weert worked as a crew chief firefighter until retirement.
He enjoyed fishing and camping with the Rolling Eagles Camping Club.

Survivors of the immediate family include sons, Warren Lammers of Guide Rock, Kevin Lammers of Grand Island; stepson, Rodney Bruer (Lovett) of New Town, N.D.; daughter, Rhonda (Robert) Larkowski of Longmont, Colo.; stepdaughters, Marilyn Bruer of Beatrice, Carol (Rory) Allen of Pender; sister-in-law, Erma Lammers of Ravenna; brother-in-law, Carl Lewis of Riverdale; and three grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Weert was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; two sons, Robert Lammers and Brian Lammers; three sisters, Irene Thomsen, Coralee McClunkin and Darleen Lewis; and one brother, Donald Lammers.
